📌 Project Thunderbird

A Special Weekend with the Thunderbirds 🇺🇸✈️

We had the honor of presenting the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds with a custom gift created by members of our team during this weekend’s Grissom Air & Space Expo.

The response was pretty special. Merrell Bros. received a shoutout during the event, and we heard a lot of kind words about the piece throughout the weekend. The gift was originally going to stay at Grissom, but the Thunderbirds liked it so much that they decided to take it back with them to Las Vegas, where it will be displayed at Thunderbirds headquarters.

We’re proud that our team was able to create something they genuinely loved and, more importantly, something that could serve as a small token of our appreciation for the men and women of our Armed Forces and everything they do to serve our country and keep us safe.

Check out the video and a few photos from a weekend we won’t soon forget!

📌 From the Racetrack to the Halfpipe: FloridaGreen Makes an Unexpected Appearance

FloridaGreen showed up somewhere we definitely weren’t expecting it this weekend.

Many of you know Alex Nelson as one of our talented fabricators and as the driver of the FloridaGreen race car. What you may not know is that Alex’s brother, AJ Nelson, is a professional skateboarder.

Recently, Alex traveled to Utah to watch AJ skate at an event alongside Tony Hawk and many other notable names from the skateboarding world. And when AJ dropped in, he brought a little piece of home with him, wearing one of Alex’s FloridaGreen race team shirts while he skated.

The shirt was originally made to support Alex at the racetrack. This weekend, his brother turned the tables and wore it to represent Alex hundreds of miles away in Utah.

From a race car in Indiana to a skateboard ramp in Utah, you never quite know where FloridaGreen might show up next.

Check out the photos from Alex and watch AJ in action, link below!

Big shoutout and thanks to Alex Nelson for sharing!

📌 ERP Quest Update: The Technomancer’s Training

As ERP Quest moves forward at 43% complete, the IT team has entered a new training quest. Steve, Brandon, and Clint are leveling up their IFS knowledge so Merrell Bros. can support and manage more of the system from within our own walls.

Through upcoming training on IFS page configuration, lobby dashboards, ClickLearn, and Super User tools, the team is building the skills needed to configure the system, create training, answer questions, and support employees as we prepare for the transition to IFS. Each lesson learned brings more knowledge into Merrell Bros. and strengthens the kingdom for the road ahead.

🎧 Solid Start Podcast | Weekly Devotional

Overview: This week on Solid Start, Greg and Brian wrestle with one of life’s hardest questions. When devastating floods take lives, when we lose someone we love, or when a doctor delivers news we never wanted to hear, where is God in the middle of it all?

Pain and tragedy have a way of cutting through the noise. Like a megaphone, they remind us how fragile life is and call us to examine where we’ve placed our hope. In those moments, we have a choice: get angry and run from God or turn toward Him.

Join Greg and Brian as they discuss how life’s hardest moments can become a wake-up call to realign our lives with Christ, listen for His voice, and trust in Him.

📌 Weekly Photo & Video Contest | Weekly Winner & Honorable Mention

🏆 Winner: Nick Cooper

This week’s Employee Photo Contest winner, Nick Cooper, captured the early morning sun cresting over one of our belt presses on site at Tyson Foods in Logansport.

There’s something about seeing the sun come up over a job site that puts the work into perspective. A new day, another job to do, and a pretty good view to start it all.

Great shot, Nick! 🌅📸

Honorable Mention: Jean Merrell

This week’s Employee Photo Contest honorable mention comes from Jean Merrell, who caught part of the team enjoying some free Kona Ice at our Indiana HQ on Friday.

Good weather, plenty of flavors to choose from, and a cold treat made for a pretty solid Friday afternoon.

Great shot, Jean! 📸
